Q:	How do I apply for a position with MEDLAB?

We post all MEDLAB positions on our careers page. Using the Search Jobs function on this page, you can look for open positions. You can also complete an on-line application and attach any relevant documentation so that we can evaluate your skills and experience against our requirements. Additionally, you can register to receive updates when jobs that match your qualifications become available.

Q:	Can I apply in-person?

A:	We require all prospective MEDLAB candidates to apply for job openings through our online Job Search function.

Q:	Does MEDLAB offer jobs to career professionals in other areas?

Yes. Laboratory Partners is a small group of professionals who perform corporate level functions for MEDLAB. They offer a wide array of careers to individuals whose commitment to a growing industry can make all the difference in their success. Q:	What should I expect after I have applied for a position?

After you have submitted an application through our on-line system, you will receive an email confirming your application. Your application will then be forwarded to the business unit within MEDLAB that has the opening. The HR team member and/or the hiring manager will review your application against requirements with the goal towards creating a pool of qualified candidates for further consideration. Applicants who meet these requirements will be contacted directly for further discussions.

Q:	Is there a referral process?

A:	We encourage our employees to refer qualified candidates that they are personally aware of. If an existing employee refers a candidate for an open position, we may choose to contact that candidate to determine if they match the qualifications for the job.

Q:	How will my candidacy be evaluated?

If we decide that your qualifications match our criteria, we may call you to discuss your interest in the position and to perhaps set up an in-person interview. During our evaluation, we attempt to determine a number of factors beyond how well your skills match the job description. The factors often include how well you reflect our core behaviors of interpersonal communication, commitment to patient care and a displayed commitment to a team environment.

Q:	If I am made an offer, what will be required?

As a condition of an offer, we require all potential employees to complete a drug screen and a background screen. If you will be driving for us, whether it will be your own car or a company car, you will also be required to submit to a driver’s license screen. If you will be using your own car you will also be required to provide evidence of liability insurance required by the state you are operating within.

Q:	What should I expect once I start working?

All new hires participate in a ninety-day introductory period. During this time, both you and your new supervisor/manager will have an opportunity to define your position and expectations, identify any training or other development needs which you might have and set aside time for you both to evaluate how well you and your job are working together.

Q:	If I want to move through the organization, will I be given preference over outside candidates?

A:	At MEDLAB, we strongly believe in promotion from within. In any situation where the strongest candidate is an internal one, we will give preference to that candidate.

Q:	What happens if I do not hear from you?

A:	If you are not considered for an open position at this point, your application will remain active in our applicant tracking system so that we may evaluate it against future positions as they become available.
